Généralités et définition des attributs
Daymark
  • C'est un signal facile à reconnaitre en plein de jour à une distance assez grande. Ce signal est généralement placé sur une structure porteuse. Visuellement, trois caractéristiques ( trois attributs ) ont de l'importance :
    • La forme, c'est l'attribut TOPSHP
    • Les couleurs, c'est l'attribut COLOUR
    • La façon dont les couleurs sont disposées, c'est l'attribut COLPAT.
  • L'ensemble dépend du propos de l'aide que ce signal doit apporter.
  • Ces trois attributs font parti des attributs de type A.

Les objets de type Daymark, nommés DAYMAR, ont :
  • 15 (+2) attributs de types A,
  •   5 (+1) attributs de type B
  •   2 (+2) attributs de type C.
Pour chaque type d'attribut, il y en a qui sont utilisables et d'autres qui sont périmés et ne devraient plus être utilisés.

 Cet attribut correspond aux couleurs présentes sur le signal. Il y a 13 couleurs possibles. Un même signal peut comporter plusieurs couleurs.   Mais les couleurs les plus utilisées sont :

 Cet attribut indique le statut du signal. Il y a 17 statuts possibles. Exemples :
  • La valeur "PERMANENT" est associée à un signal permanent,
  • La valeur "PRIVATE" est associée à un signal privé.
"TOPSHP"
 Forte
 Cet attribut correspond à la forme du signal. Il y a 33 formes possibles.
